Dear visitor, What is going on at the Berkshire Music Institution : As returning visitors can see, the web site has had a complete facelift. Our monthly newsletter "Newsnotes" will start again next month. Existing students at the Berkshire Music Institution will get their copy automatically every month, while other people can download it on this page or read it online. The newsletter will be in .PDF format, so, for the people who want to read it offline, but have not got Adobe Acrobat (required for reading .PDF files), they can click below to download it free of charge. 
As from now (see our pricing page) we have no alternative but to ask new students to pay for 3 lessons in advance when they enrol. People who opt for the 5 trial lessons will also have to pay for them in advance. NB. If you do not comply to this it will be impossible for us to keep a timeslot for you!!! Furthermore, students who fail to turn up for their session without giving any notice in advance will be charged for their session. Once again, we regret having to do the above, but because of timewasters we have had lately we have no choice.
The Berkshire Music Institution would like to do auditions. We are currently looking for musicians/singers in order to form a number of groups. These groups would include choirs, jazz groups, dance bands, and, if possible even a Big Band. It would be the intention that people get together in a fun environment to improve their learning, but it could, for some among us, even be taken further and be taken to a semi professional/professional level. So, if you sing or play an instrument and you think you have got what it takes, fill in the online audition form and await our call.
